3 Reasons to Visit Mamas and Papas New Store

Mamas and Papas-13

Mamas & Papas have just unveiled their new store concept at Westfield White City, and last week they invited Daisy and I to its launch. There were talks from industry experts, story-time reading from the author of Aliens Love Underpants, and pampering for mummies, thanks to Cowshed. So what did I think? Well here are my 3 reasons for visiting:

Mamas and Papas

Child Friendly

The new store is designed to make life straight-forward to visit with a child. Alongside baby changing rooms, there is also a comfortable baby feeding room and customer toilet (essential if pregnant like me!) Daisy had huge amounts of fun climbing in and out of the car, decorated with a fun cloud motif. The purpose of the car is so you can have a go at getting a pram in and out of a boot, and also for car seat demonstrations. However, I predict most toddlers will make it their personal playground. I love that they’ve thought of the things I’ll have forgotten; there’s a set of weighing scales, to weigh your child so you can buy the right car seat. For if you’re anything like me, you haven’t been to a weigh in since you were on maternity leave.

Personal Shopping Service

I remember first time round there was so much to prepare for Daisy’s arrival, thankfully Mamas & Papas have just introduced a complimentary Personal Shopping service at their store in Westfield. It covers everything from pushchairs, planning the nursery to finding the right car seat. I’ve been thinking of booking an appointment to help me find the ‘right’ double buggy.

Unisex Nursery Décor

Mamas & Papas have really upped their game in the interior design department. When I was shopping for Daisy’s nursery, all that seamed to be available in the UK was baby pink, baby blue or white. It was utterly dull. Their ranges are now predominantly unisex. I particularly like sweet dreams, featuring a soft green and white geo print and raindrop “hello’ knitted blanket. There is also welcome to the world, which has a white bunny on a pale grey background – very cute.

Oh, and by the way you can get them cheaper second hand. Ours is a loan from a friend.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Just read this blog and wanted to say that we really like the phil&teds navigator double buggy. It folds quite small and it fits on a bus even when there’s already another buggy on it. And you can push it easily with one hand. Also goes well over rough terrain. And…. 😉 I’ll stop there. Enjoy this time and lots of fun with 2 in a few months time. Hard work but a blessing as well.

Thanks Claudia for the tip, so far that’s the buggy I’ve been looking at mainly because it fits on a bus and the last thing I want to feel is that I can’t travel around London. How are you doing? Enjoying your new home? xx

It took a while to get used to our new surroundings. I still miss and visit Finsbury Park often. If you ever find yourself up in walthamstow, drop me an email. Or if you want to have a look around the area…still very affordable part of London if you want to move to a bigger home. 🙂 (oh, and i know I was your downstairs neighbour…baby brain…)
