4 Days to Go! The Clothes Show

The Clothes Show

Several years ago, I remember getting up at crack of dawn, putting on my best outfit, cream flares, a brown ribbed polo neck and high-heeled boots and heading to school. It was an event I had looked forward to for years, a trip to The Clothes Show. Fashion wasn’t big in my household, and I had to fight tooth and nail to be given a clothing allowance to explore my own style. But, for me, this day would be heaven, unlimited shopping, catwalks and of course time with my friends.

So it’s with slight nostalgia that I’ll visit The Clothes Show again, nearly 20 years later (!) My aim? To bring you back the catwalk trends and to discover new and exciting brands, that might otherwise be overshadowed by the high street giants.

The Clothes Show

So what have we got to look forward to? Alcatel Onetouch Fashion Theatre in association with Capital FM will showcase the very best in fashion and trend from our high street. With dancers, models, music and celebrity guests, it promises to be a show not to be missed. Fashion Correspondent, Antonia O’Brien will be presenting the Image Catwalk, which is all about the future of fashion featuring graduate catwalk shows from universities and colleges around the country. Hilary Alexander OBE will be interviewing a host of fashion designers and Urban Voices Collective will be performing at the fashion theatre. I am also particularly looking forward to visiting the start ups area and the graduate ASOS Marketplace. Curated by a panel of industry experts, this will showcase the best talent of our young designers today. After all that, I hope to collapse in the pamper lounge!
