A Good Night’s Sleep?

Sleepy Doe-6

Sleep is such a contentious issue, since becoming a parent there’s always some reason a whole night’s sleep doesn’t occur. If it’s not your child waking, it’s a car alarm going off at 3am or just the fact you drank too much coffee pre bedtime. Parent Sophie Woodrow wanted to address this and has just launched a new British childrenswear brand Sleepy Doe. It specialises in luxurious yet fun sleepwear and bedding for children. Her quest? To “maximise chances of the good night’s sleep every parent hopes for.” Tough mission.

With 10 years experience in the fashion industry, she has produced a really simple beautiful collection made from 100% cotton interlock. The quality is gorgeous, the fabric is a good weight and really soft to the touch. As a fashion buyer myself, I regularly compare lots of different fabric qualities and Sophie has opted for a very high standard. I love her hand drawn prints, simple and yet timeless in design, they are all inspired by her home, the historic city of Bath. They are also largely unisex, big tick.

The range features pyjamas for children aged 1-6 years and even a matching pair for mummies, which I may need post pregnancy! There are also cot sheets, and reversible duvet covers and pillowcases. I really like that the bedding is made from a mix of cotton jersey and woven cotton as the jersey feels very contemporary and is ultra comfy. Prices start from £28.

All her product is made here in the UK by independent factories, so we can be confident that transparency isn’t an issue.

As you can see, Daisy particularly enjoyed watching Shaun the Sheep lazing these Sleepy Doe pyjamas.

Sleep Doe launches online on 4th July. Follow Sophie’s journey on instagram @sleepydoe_bath and visit www.sleepydoe.com
