I Am 18 (and a half) Months

I am 18 months (2 of 8)

Name: Daisy Annabel

Age: 18 (and a half) months

Achievements: Eating more for my breakfast than my Dad. You see January has been a difficult month for me, as I’ve picked up every bug going. I’ve had both a throat and ear infection, plus sickness and diarrhoea, yuck. So now I’m ravenous, all the time. This morning I ate x2 Wheatabix followed by a piece of toast and peanut butter (the crunchy kind, I know it’s totally against the NHS guidelines but I love it).

Developments Made: Mum’s been getting slightly worried as all my friends have several words whereas I have shunned speaking, in favour of climbing. Yet recently I’ve developed a few words. I’ve discovered you don’t need many to communicate but “mum” works for everything, particularly repeated furiously, “mum, mum, mum, mum!” In regards to food, “more” is a very useful word, though my parents are such bores, always telling me I have to finish one mouthful before starting another.

Helping, Dad has taught me to help clear the dishwasher. I take the items out of the dishwasher and hand them to him and he puts them away. We work very well together as a team, and it makes my mum smile so it’s got to be a good thing. Mum’s voice does go slightly high-pitched when I pick up scissors or big knives though.

Do you like my denim pinafore dress? It’s one of my favourites, not too girly and so easy to tear around in. The lovely people at Mamas & Papas sent it to me from their new SS16 range. I love the fact it has a yellow stripy top underneath, helps me to think summer is on its way.
