Mum & Me | Edge of Ember

Do you have an item of jewellery given to you by your mum? A family piece passed down and treasured? I have a tiny gold bracelet that she gave to me on my Christening day, which I, in turn, have passed on to Daisy. Though as yet I haven’t allowed her to wear it! Well this is the concept behind Edge of Ember’s new Mum & Me necklace set.

Ethical Jewellery – Edge of Ember

But I’m getting ahead of myself; I haven’t even introduced you to Edge of Ember. Have you heard of them? If not head over to their website to check them out. They are everything a jewellery brand should be; contemporary, affordable, definitely not boring and oh did I mention, ethical? Yes, the icing on the cake is that Edge of Ember care about the people that make their jewellery. They employ local artisans in developing countries and are committed to Fair Trade practices and so are an ethical jewellery brand. Do read on, for they’ve kindly given n4mummy readers a discount code so you can treat yourself.

Mum & Me Necklace

Now, they’ve just launched their new “Have Your Say” engravable collection, of which the Mum & Me necklace set is part. You may have spotted me wearing this necklace in my last outfit post. It’s made from 18k gold plated sterling silver, and consists of two necklaces that can be worn together or apart. You can choose to have it engraved as you wish, and there is a choice of fonts, it also comes in silver as well. You could wear them together or gift one to someone special. I’ve had Daisy’s name engraved on the shorter one and my own on the longer necklace. The plan is when she’s older I’ll give her the necklace and who knows maybe in time she’ll pass it down to her daughter?
