The ethical gift guide is a post I write every Christmas, and every year it’s a rush and comes out late. Can I blame lockdown, a lack of childcare and a NHS doctor for a husband? So this year, I’ve decided that this is going to be my Ultimate Ethical Gift Guide. One that I’ll add to as and when I find fabulous ethical and eco items, so it will always be ready for you if you have a birthday, or Christmas present to buy someone.

Giving presents is the perfect time to support small independent businesses. In my experience, from small businesses you get beautiful unique products, with a personalised service. Plus I love the fact that my money is going to real people rather than just lining the pockets of a shareholder. I’m mindful that this year in particular that money will be tight. So, I’ve tried to find beautiful affordable presents, with just a couple of luxury items.

Most of the products I’ve listed are from ethical brands I know, love and whose products I have in my home. There’s just a couple of exceptions, and they earn their place because they are on my personal wish list!
