Hi Anna, you are so right about buying second hand being a minefield. I totally agree & I actually avoid eBay for that very reason. It’s why I wrote this post as there are preloved clothing brands clearly like yours that are taking such care over garments & that are really worth buying from. I think there’s a revolution coming, the normalisation of buying and wearing second hand clothes would be a great result. It’s a difficult campaign through when buying second hand can be so disappointing! Ebay can be a minefield, it’s expensive and often items sold on there are damaged or stained and as a buyer you have very little comeback. I set up Peachy Kids to try and take the risk out of buying second hand. All our items are scrupulously quality checked, if they don’t stand up to the halogen lamp test they don’t get uploaded to the website! I’m that fastidious! But as a parent I want to buy clothes when I need them and I want them to turn up ready to wear, not in need of a wash and iron. I think the people buying from me deserve to get the best quality and they buy form me because the product they receive is beautifully packaged and presented like new. It’s all about changing peoples perceptions and helping people to see that good quality, excellent condition second hand clothing can look, feel and last so much better than fast fashion items.
