Oh no was his English not great, or did he have an accent? Hair too short is the worst, usually as they do it when you are specifically trying to grow it x

My biggest hair disaster had two stages, and brought an abrupt end to the lovely long hair I had until aged 13. First came the classic chewing-gum-in-hair disaster that I decided to fix myself with a pair of scissors. Clearly the jagged crazy cut wasn’t going to work so it was my mum’s turn with the scissors next, resulting in a kind of wonky bob that I refer to us my ‘mushroom hair’ (I have very thick hair which should never be worn short without the use of hair straighteners, which weren’t around as much 20years ago!). We couldn’t afford the hairdressers so the mushroom remained until it grew out. I have tried to destroy the photographic evidence….
