From me to you…..

Having kids can be an expensive business. A buggy alone is the price of a romantic weekend away, (I wish!) And I don’t know about you, but I feel like I spend most of my life sorting through my kids clothes. For in his first year, Laurie will have a new wardrobe every three months. Lucky chap.

Thankfully we’ve been lent many essentials from family and friends. Currently we’ve done a buggy swap, a Phil & Teds double for a single Uppababy Cruz. I’m still lamenting the loss of my Uppababy, as single buggies are so much easier to push around. But, I digress.

Recently, I discovered a brand that addresses this constant “need” in a very neat way. Papu are a Finnish brand that sells fun playful prints on GOTS certified organic cotton. Kids grow at an astonishing rate, I’m currently feeling the effects of this as Laurie is feeding every five minutes, zzzz. They’ve put rollable cuffs on their garments, and turn ups on their leggings to so the clothes fit longer. On their body suits they have x 2 sets of poppers so it grows with the child. Genius.

Their clothes are high quality and designed to last. The styles and graphic prints are unisex, so can be passed from brother to sister. One of my favourite touches is that they have labels in them so you can write the name of the 1^st owner, 2^nd owner and subsequent 3^rd owner. It’s a great example of sustainability in action, and not just greenwashing.

As you can see they do the same leggings in a mini size for adults, I can’t imagine they’ll be many times when I can match clothing with my son. But here we are in our stripy leggings.
