The 1970’s rule, well that’s according to New Look’s AW15 collection. Yesterday I attended New Look’s AW15 Press Day #NLAW15. It was held at the uber cool Vinyl Factory in the heart of Soho, 1970’s clothes and accessories were displayed against an industrial interior of concrete bricks and exposed walls.
So what can we expect from New Look next season? Here are some of the highlights:
The Shieling Jacket
Short, boxy this jacket came off the fall catwalks as the must have item for the season.
Suede
Fabrications were lux – cord, velvet and leather featured; but it was suede that was the key fabric this AW.
Fringing
I love these peep toe fringed heels.
Denim
Denim remains a key fabric in many different forms: culottes, flares (clearly here to stay!), the denim skirt and the pinafore dress.
High Neck Cable Knits
The Statement Coat
Fur
Clearly this season is all about texture, fur is a must.
Studs
Studs are making a come back.

Of the moment androgynous flats.
Clean lines, mottled metallic clutch.
